Churches Together

Churches Together in Ulverston, CTU, is the umbrella organisation for the local congregations to work together. Examples of this are the Easter Sunday Sunrise service on the local common, Birkrigg, the Good Friday service at the Market Cross and the Songs of Praise service on the Sunday of the annual Dickensian weekend.

Stewardship, Gift Aid and The Grace Of Giving

Offertory plateOur personal giving pays for the running costs of the Church and our Parish Share to the Diocese, which covers clergy stipends, accommodation, and charitable giving. All members of the congregation are asked to give generously to meet these extensive commitments. The Stewardship scheme allows individuals to set aside a regular amount each week, in proportion to their income, and for the tax to be reclaimed through gift aid.
