Tell us about yourself.

2I was born in Ulverston, daughter of Ann and Frank Harrison, and have a younger sister called Elisabeth, I went to art college in Blackpool and studied Scientific Illustration, having a period of time in Edinburgh, illustrating leaflets about Scottish trees for the Royal Botanic Gardens… a beautiful place.  I then returned to Ulverston, to find that earning a living as an artist is a pretty penniless affair!  I am now married to Ian, whom I met 12 years ago in a prayer meeting!  (I wasn’t praying for a husband at that time incidentally, I’d given up!!)  We have two wonderful children, Jonathan, 8 and Naomi, 5. As from September both children are at school, I have managed to start painting again, which is great, although I now have ‘over 40 eyes’  according to Ian and have to wear glasses to see what I am doing!

If your life story was set in a book or a film, what would it be called?

Better late than never!

Name your ideal dinner party guests from any time, any place; why you would you choose them and what would your meal be?

Morecambe and Wise, Ian, Jonathan and Naomi, at the Jade Fountain with chopsticks and the spinning round table, because it would be lots of fun!

What has been the proudest moment in your life so far?

Marrying Ian, and having Jonathan and Naomi, they are always making me proud!

If you could take 3 things with you on a desert island, what would you take?

1An Ipad so I could have endless books and Skype friends and family, an umbrella to keep me shaded, and a guitar, because I’ve always wanted to learn properly, but never had the time.

Have you met any famous people, if so, where?

Les Dawson on Blackpool prom.

Do you have a favourite song/piece of music? Tell us why.

Before the Throne of God above, it reminds us of all that God has done…wow.

Do you have a top tip to share?

Baby wipes clean almost any thing!

Do you have a party piece?

no

What last made you laugh?

Jonathan and Naomi, performing a nativity and various other things in our living room, over the Christmas holidays.
